Switching/Scheduling Internet on/off

Parents have the ability to switch the Internet on/off for browser-based internet searches as well as schedule days and times for browser-based internet access. This feature, consisting of switching Internet on/off as well as scheduling Internet on/off for browser-based internet searches, needs to be considered on a family (global) as well as on an individual (profile) level. Important to note is that the individual Child settings will always take priority over the family (global) settings. Only devices that are currently connected to the VPN can have their browser Internet access scheduled and/or switched on/off via the Parental application.

Set browser internet access on an Individual (Profile) Level

• Within the Family screen, select a Child profile.

• Within the selected Child profile, select ‘Set browser internet access’.

• The feature expands and displays two components:

• 'Browser internet access' with an on/off toggle switch.

• 'Schedule browser internet access' with an on/off toggle switch for the selected Child. Days of the week are presented as well as a 'switch on’ time and a ‘switch off’ time.

• When the 'Browser internet access' toggle is turned on and the 'Schedule browser internet access' toggle is turned off, no individual day or time schedules are considered.

• When the 'Browser internet access' toggle is turned off and the 'Schedule browser internet access' toggle is turned off, no individual day or time schedules are considered.

• When 'Browser internet access' is on and 'Schedule browser internet access' is on, a Parent is able to select specific days of the week that time schedules will apply too.

A Parent is also able to set on and off time schedules which will be applied to the selected days of the week.

Set browser internet access on a Global (Family) Level

• Within the Family screen, select ‘Set browser internet access’.

• The feature expands and displays two components:

• 'Browser internet access' with an on/off toggle switch.

• 'Schedule browser internet access' for the family with an on/off toggle switch. Days of the week will be presented as well as a 'switch on’ time and a ‘switch off’ time.

• When 'Browser internet access' is on and 'Schedule browser internet access' is off, browser-based internet access is granted to the whole family however, should a specific Child profile have 'Browser internet access' switched off, then only the Child profile in question will not have access to browser-based internet. No day or time family schedules are considered.

• When 'Browser internet access' is off and 'Schedule browser internet access' is off, browser-based internet access is not granted to the whole family however, should a specific Child profile have 'Browser internet access' switched on, then only the Child profile in question will have access to browser-based internet. No day or time family schedules are considered.

• When 'Browser internet access' is on and 'Schedule browser internet access' is on, browser-based internet access is granted to the whole family however, should a specific Child profile have 'Browser internet access' switched off, then only the Child profile in question will not have access to browser-based internet. A Parent is able to select specific days of the week that family time schedules will apply too. A Parent is able to set on and off family time schedules which will be applied to the selected days of the week.
