What is an ‘unblock request’?

When a website is outright blocked by Lighthouse, a Child has the opportunity to submit a request to have the website unblocked. As the Parent, you will be notified of the request via a push notification (if these are activated), as well as within the Requests > New Requests screen of the Activity tab.

requests

Requests can either be allowed or denied.

Furthermore, and within the ‘Allowed Requests’ screen, the Parent is able to see a list of all the unblock requests that have been allowed.

requests

The option to revoke previously allowed requests is available should the Parent wish to change their original decision. This is actioned via the ‘remove access’ button, at which point the website in question will be blocked again.

A Parent can switch on/off Permission Request push notifications within the Settings tab of the Parent app, and within the Notifications screen.
