What devices and versions does Lighthouse support?

For the Home Protection Solution:

The Lighthouse Parent and Child apps are available for both Apple (iOS) and Android operating systems, respectively. This means that Lighthouse will work on devices that support iOS 12.0 and later, or Android 8.0 (API level 26) (Oreo) and later.

Lighthouse is optimised for tablets, thereby affording the same experience to that of smartphone devices.

The Lighthouse Parent app itself is not currently available for desktop. Lighthouse is, however, compatible with laptop and desktop computers via the downloading of desktop installers for Windows and/or macOS, respectively. Laptops and/or desktop computers can be added and linked as devices to Child profiles within the Parent app. The same level of protection will occur as per mobile devices, and as per the filter levels set for your child/children.

The Windows Desktop Installer supports Windows 10 or later, whilst the macOS Desktop Installer supports macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or later.

Currently, Lighthouse is not supported on Huawei devices.

For the School Protection Solution:

The Lighthouse School Protection Proxy is an HTTP(S) proxy that intercepts web-traffic and filters inappropriate content. It is the local part of the Lighthouse School Protection Solution that is deployed on-premise. The remaining components are deployed in the cloud and are offered as a service. Any and all devices that are on the School network will therefore have content filtered via the Lighthouse School Protection Proxy (provided there is a certificate installed on the device).
